Land or Sea? St. John Has Adventures for Everyone!

For some, a St. John vacation means lounging on the beach for relaxation and solitude. For others, it’s an opportunity to get the adrenaline pumping with a variety of wonderous adventures.
Sure, the island is easy to navigate so you could go it alone. However, there are advantages to having a guide to show you the hidden gems, outfit you with all the gear needed for the day, and educate you about ecosystems and marine life. Options range from snorkeling, paddle-boarding, kayaking, fly fishing, hiking or a combination of these.
How do you choose? Consider the ages and stamina of everyone participating. Then decide if land or water appeals most – or a bit of both. If you love to kayak and snorkel with sea turtles, there’s a tour for that. Perhaps you would rather begin with a hike to a scenic overlook, then cool off at a beach with water toy rentals. Or try your hand at paddle-boarding through a protected bay designated as a national monument.
We’d like to share our three favorite resources for what’s guaranteed to be a great day outdoors. We recommend you book your activities prior to arrival to guarantee availability.
