Villa Amorosa

We visited June 6-13 and there were 6 adults (or young adults) in our group. This place was magnificent. The views, the space, and the convenience to north shore beaches were perfect for us. The house had beautiful stonework and travertine throughout. There was amazing attention to detail in the building and decorating of this house. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning functioned well. There were ample inside and outside showers. The kitchen was reasonably stocked. We had access to beach towels, coolers, and even a first aid kit. We were met at the car ferry from St Thomas and followed our greeter to the house. She showed us around and made sure we were all set. The Catered To managers checked in with us after a couple days to make sure all was well (and it was). The pictures show how spectacular this property is and they were accurate. We were provided with starter amounts of things like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and laundry detergent. We were also given a list of providers who could delivery some day 1 groceries or meals, and I highly recommend taking advantage of both. Driving on St John is daunting (mountainous, hair pin turns and narrow roads, driving on the left side in a car that was made for right side driving). The driveway up to Villa Amorosa is likewise intimidating, so be sure to get a vehicle with power ! We did well with visiting beaches and finding parking. Nearby Cinnamon Bay has the most parking. Fantastic!!!

I can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay at Villa Amorosa. The property is gorgeous and the outside space and views are unbelievable. The property manager did a great job checking in on us and helped us identify some vendors we used to arrange for grocery delivery, arrival day meal, and snorkel equipment. I apologized to my family for the fact that every other beach house we rent will pale by comparison. We were close to Cinnamon and Trunk Bay beaches and had a short ride to reach Cruz Bay for evenings/dinner out. This was a dream house in a dream location.

Property was exactly as described and as shown in pictures. The bedrooms were very private. We enjoyed the outdoor showers. Internet access was not available in most of the bedrooms, but was available in the common areas. We appreciated use of beach chairs and coolers.
